The following code defines what is acceptable for sixth formers in our school.    Anyone not following these guidelines will be asked to sign out at reception, go home to change and make up any missed lessons in their own time.

For the boys, we expect smart business attire:-

Chinos or smart trousers/jeans (not blue)

Short or long sleeved shirts of a polo shirt with a collar

Leather/suede, hard soled dress shoes/Chelsea boots

 

Mondays and Mass days :

A suit or trousers with a jacket, collared shirt and a tie

Leather/suede, hard soled dress shoes/Chelsea boots

 

For the girls, we expect smart business attire:-

A dress, skirt mid-thigh or longer or pair of trousers

A blouse or collared shirt

Leather/suede, hard soled shoes/Chelsea boots

           

Mondays and Mass days:

Smart business attire (as above) with a blazer, cardigan or smart jacket

Leather/suede, hard soled dress shoes/Chelsea boots

 

For clarification, the following are not regarded as smart business attire:

• Blue denim jeans
• Shorts
• Sports trainers or canvas shoes of any type
• Round neck T-shirts
• Body or facial piercings, covering of such with plasters is not sufficient.  One small stud, worn at the bottom of each ear, a small crucifix on a chain and a watch are the only permitted items of jewellery. 
• Ripped trousers/jeans
• Unacceptably tight or revealing clothing
• Hoodies – unless they are BGN Lourdes hoodies
• Branded slogan clothing
• Outdoor jackets worn inside school buildings

Sixth Form Code of Conduct

The following conditions are an integral part of joining the community of Blessed George Napier Sixth Form;

• Striving to be an appropriate role model and set an example for younger students
• Bringing credit to yourself and the school at every opportunity
• Having respect for all other members of the school community
• Commitment to independent study, typically 3 hours individual work a day after school hours
• Attending all lessons without exception
• Registering in the morning and afternoon
• Always being punctual
• Being fully involved in Assemblies and School Masses
• Completing set work on time
• Making good use of the time available in school for study
• Dressing and behaving in a manner appropriate to a member of the Sixth Form
• Attending all “Extended Project” lessons and producing the work required to gain the qualification which attracts UCAS points
